Cancellations, Rescheduling, No Show
I do what I do because I love animals. Each time you bring your dog to see me I get to know it more and grow to care for it. However, if someone does not show up to the scheduled appointment, it hurts my business and leaves an open spot that could have otherwise been filled. Please let me know 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule and your $50 deposit will be refunded or held for your next appointment.
Reservation Deposit
A $50 deposit will be required to reserve your appointment. All deposits are non-refundable if I am given notice less than 24 hours in advance. I want you to keep your appointment so please call with any questions and I will do my best to resolve the issue for you. Failure to cancel more than 3 times would result in a full deposit of your groom at booking.
Late Policy
Please let me know within 15 minutes of your scheduled appointment if you will be late. If I don't hear from you, you will be marked a NO SHOW and will lose your deposit. I will happily rebook you and/or add you to my cancellation list.
Shop Policies
All dogs need to be on a leash.
All pets are required to have a veterinary receipt of current rabies vaccine and weight on file.
Late Pickup Fee: $30 My space is limited, so any pet left more than 2 hours past my pickup call will be charged $30 for daycare.
I cannot quote prices. I have to see and feel the pet to give an estimate. Estimates are NOT guaranteed. Final prices will be charged based on coat condition and temperament when the groom is complete. Fees could be applied for matted coats, late pickup, fleas and ticks, and temperament.
Fleas/Ticks Fee: $10 I take fleas and ticks very seriously. Owners are responsible for keeping their pets free of both fleas and ticks with a monthly preventative. Once fleas enter a house, it is VERY hard to get rid of them. My home and shop are flea and tick free and I'd like it to stay that way. If I find fleas or ticks on your pet, I will immediately give them a capstar. A $10 fee will be added to your checkout total. Capstar kills fleas and ticks instantly, but is temporary. It is not a monthly preventative. Please ensure your pet is protected.
Temperament Fee: $10-20 There can be many causes for aggression. I'm not here to judge, however, aggressive pets pose a risk to me and my business. In many cases, they need training to help with the issues causing the aggression. You, the owner, are responsible to help them through it. I will not turn them away unless I feel I can't complete the groom safely. I need my hands to stay in business.
Many pets struggle with the grooming experience. If I feel I cannot complete the groom for my safety or for your pet's safety, I will call you to come pick up. You will only be charged for what was completed.
Matting Fee: $20 every 10 min. Dematting a dog takes extra time and attention. Fees are applied every 10 min. of dematting. Sometimes it is in the best interest of the dog to shave. This is for the health and safety of your dog.
Shave before bath Fee: $30 Shaving dirty, pelted coats is damaging to my tools. Many times, I must resharpen them and worst case, replace them. This fee covers those costs.
Dog Grooming Waiver
Dogs Applaws Pet Grooming
Please read this waiver and be prepared to sign a hard copy upon arrival to your grooming appointment.
Introduction
This Dog Grooming Services Waiver Agreement (“Agreement”) is between Dogs Applaws Pet Grooming, referred to as “the Groomer,” and You the client, referred to as “the Client,” collectively known as “The Parties.” The purpose is to outline the terms of the grooming services and inform the Client of associated risks. By signing, the Client acknowledges and accepts these risks regarding their pet(s).
Services Description
The Groomer agrees to perform grooming services which may include but are not limited to bathing, cutting, trimming, styling and nail clipping of the Client’s pet(s). These services will be provided at Dogs Applaws Pet Grooming or at an agreed-upon location.
Acknowledgment of Risks
*The Client acknowledges that the grooming process can be stressful, especially for pets unfamiliar with such services.
*Special risks may arise, including nicks, scratches, quicking of nails, stress-related issues, or allergic reactions to grooming products.
*The Client agrees that the Groomer bears no liability for any accident or injury to the Client’s pet during grooming services, except in cases of negligence or failure to provide agreed-upon services safely and competently.
Health and Vaccination Assurance
*The Client ensures that their pet(s) are in good health.
*All necessary vaccinations, such as rabies, distemper, and parvovirus, have been administered and documented by a licensed veterinarian.
*Proof of vaccination must be provided upon request prior to any grooming services being performed.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
The Client agrees to notify the Groomer at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Failure to do so may result in a non-refundable $50 deposit as detailed by the Groomer’s standard policy.
Special Instructions and Liability Waiver
*The Client can provide specific care instructions for their pet(s).
*The Groomer will make reasonable efforts to follow these instructions.
*If the pet’s behavior poses a safety threat, instructions may be adjusted accordingly.
*By signing the Agreement, the Client releases Dogs Applaws Pet Grooming and its staff from liability for any damage, loss, or injury resulting from reasonable care practices, except in cases of negligence or willful misconduct by the Groomer.
*This waiver ensures that the Client acknowledges and accepts the inherent risks associated with grooming services provided by Dogs Applaws Pet Grooming.
Agreement to Perform Services
The services agreed upon under the Agreement are selected voluntarily by the Client, and the Client acknowledges that they have had the opportunity to discuss all concerned details with the Groomer. This Agreement is binding upon both parties, their heirs, assigns, and personal representatives.
Legal Considerations and Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the state where Dogs Applaws Pet Grooming is located. Any disputes arising under this document will be handled in the courts of said jurisdiction.
Signature
By signing below, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Dog Grooming Services Waiver Agreement, that they are the legal owner of the pet(s), and that they have the authority to enter into the Agreement.
